An abandoned sailboat on the Rummelsburg See waits out the winter while frozen water surrounds it. Maybe in spring when the cold is gone someone will sail it again.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) Telephone booth cemetery<\/span><\/h3>\n

With the advances in technology, telephone booths lost their usefulness in a short period of time. Those boxes that were used to connect people and even used by some to shelter from the cold and rain now lie piled up in a lost corner far from the city.<\/p>\n

4) Oberbaum Bridge<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

After the war the Oberbaumbr\u00fccke “bridge over the trees” remained closed showing the division of two Germanies. Today it reconnects a reconstructed city although the invisible links of different histories still exist.<\/p>\n

In summer the lakes become a gathering place for Berliners. The classic meeting point since the city became modern is the Wansee beach which maintains the spirit of former times.<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong> Snow in the forest<\/h3>\n

Since I arrived in Berlin I dreamed of a snowy winter. At the beginning of 2021, finally, the city was reunited with snow, and together they formed a landscape that until then was unknown to me.<\/p>\n

At -17C\u00b0 I headed up to\u00a0<\/span>Teufeslberg<\/a>, the highest part of the city, and from there I took this shot with my drone. Given the extreme temperatures, and unlike other occasions, I had to be very precise in the choice of the places to photograph. Neither I nor my drone would tolerate the cold for long.<\/p>\n

And there was the forest, giving me a sort of explosion from the sky, product of the random distribution of the trees and their bare branches, which from above looked like roots.<\/p>\n

From the heights, the shapes blend together to form new textures. The traces of man are covered and only nature remains.
The snow generates a special silence that absorbs all the sounds that are usually generated in the forest. And that silence can also be seen.<\/p>\n

Traces in the landscape<\/h2>\n

The exhibition proposes, through 10 aerial photographs, a reflection on the influence of people on the places we inhabit and the traces we leave in the landscape.<\/p>\n

This theme runs through his work since his first exhibition series of aerial photographs and returns now with new charged images linked to his latest experiences. The artist’s intention is to use aerial photography as a means to question us: How do we occupy spaces? Do we take possession of them or do they take possession of our behaviors? Do landscapes leave marks on us or do we leave marks on them?<\/p>\n

7) Canola fields<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In spring the fields around Berlin and Brandenburg are filled with small yellow flowers that color the landscape. These homogeneous fields hide the tracks of tractors that leave geometric shapes as they pass by.<\/p>\n

8) Berlin Wall Trail<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trees on one side and the other of the wall. They grew separately, year after year, different but similar, without mixing their branches as in a sort of parallel world. Now they are separated only by a path. Their foliage may look different, but in the end they all find their greenery at the same time of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n
