Portrait of the Argentinian artist Duna Rolando: With a look that questions you deeply, in Duna’s eyes I found a hint of Argentinean in exile. She is Argentinian and has been living outside her country for more than 30 years, but nevertheless she is able to continue singing tangos with an overwhelming passion. She feels each verse, and in that feeling, she transports you to your homeland, even being so far away.
Duna is also a great plastic artist, her passion is transmitted in her hyperrealistic works, awarded and exhibited in different cities of Europe.
Duna is what you would call a woman of many talents.
This portrait of Duna has for me a presence that deserves to be shared, that is why I decided to include it in my work. The strength of her hands, her tenacity, and also a certain air of nostalgia, were given to me in this intimate and honest shot.
