Atacama Cemetery

The Atacama Desert stretches across the Norte Grande of Chile and covers an area of approximately 105,000 km². This cemetery is located in the city of San Pedro de Atacama. The color of the desert soil is only altered by tombs and crosses that line up neatly.
I am especially interested in observing how through our social, cultural and religious motivations we can determine certain spaces. Places that in turn are repeated and differentiated around the planet, mutate and re-signify themselves according to the ubiquity of our gaze. The cemetery of Atacama seen from an aerial shot.
